Kingdom of Awadh (Inspired by Ormonde Jayne Nawab of Oudh)

Not the dark, smoky, animalic oud fragrance its name might suggest. It wears like royal tailoring rather than a cloud of heavy oud. It opens with sparkling bergamot and orange touched by cool green notes and cardamom, giving a crisp, polished freshness. Very quickly, a velvety rose emerges — not syrupy or powdery — woven with warm spices and soft florals. As it settles, ambergris, musk and smooth woods create a creamy, almost silky warmth beneath the surface.

Top notes: Cardamom, Orange, Bergamot, Aldehydes, Green notes

Heart: Rose, Cinnamon, Bay leaf, Pimento (allspice pepper), Magnolia, Orchid, Hedione (airy jasmine nuance)

Base: Oud (agarwood), Ambergris, Vetiver, Musk, Labdanum
